Workshop: Using the Mixed Methods Care Home version of ASCOT
The Personal Social Services Research Unit (PSSRU) at the University of Kent will be delivering a two-day course on using the Mixed Methods Care Home version of Adult Social Care Outcomes Toolkit (ASCOT) on the 16th and 17th of January 2019.
This is two-day course, with practical sessions, will concentrate upon using the care homes version of ASCOT (CH3). ASCOT CH3 is specifically designed to elicit the outcomes of social care from residents within care homes. The toolkit uses a mixed methods approach which includes interviews and an observational schedule. The course aims to provide people interested in using ASCOT in care homes with a thorough grounding in the conceptual basis of ASCOT and the methods used within CH3. By the end of the two-day course participants should have the skills and confidence necessary to use the CH3 tool. We advise anyone who would like to use the care homes version of ASCOT to attend this course.
