The CQC have published a new report: State of Care. This is their annual assessment of health care and social care in England. The report looks at the trends, shares examples of good and outstanding care, and highlights where care needs to improve.

The NIHR invites academic institutions in England to apply to a new open competition to renew and refresh membership of the NIHR School for Public Health Research (SPHR).

On the 18th September the Department of Heath and Social Care published the Adult Social Care Policy paper setting out the key elements of national support available for the social care sector for winter 2020 to 2021. The paper also sets out the main actions to take for NHS organisations, local authorities, and social care providers, including the voluntary and community sector.
