New paper: Quality of life in care homes – comparing office hours with out-of-office hours
A new paper published by researchers at the University of Kent has compared the social care-related quality of life (SCRQoL) of residents in older adult care homes during office hours (0900 to 16.30) with outside of office hours (evenings and weekends).

Research findings: No universal ‘best time’ for people living with dementia to move to a care home
New research led by Dr Kritika Sami at King’s College London has concluded that there is no universal ‘best time’ for people with dementia to move to a care home. The research was funded by the NIHR School for Social Care Research and drew on the experiences of people living with dementia and family carers as well as social workers and care home managers.
New NIHR centre to lead public involvement and research dissemination for NIHR from April 2020
A new NIHR centre will look to improve research relevance for all by combining the strengths of current NIHR approaches to research dissemination and to patient and public involvement, engagement and participation (PPIE).
